Echo

When Echo’s mother, Linda, was going through a divorce and homelessness, Echo stopped eating. Noticing her personal matters were also affecting her dog’s health.

Linda’s veterinary clinic would not see the dog without payment before care was offered. Bijou Animal Hospital, through the help of Harley’s Hope, was able to step in. While looking for the root of the issue, they found anemia.

Echo, a 10-year old Eskipoo, suffers from a disc disease in his neck. The veterinarian determined that Echo stopped eating due to the pain he was experiencing in his neck, which led to the anemia.

After several days in the hospital, IV fluids and “therapy” were administered to control his movements. Echo was sent home with medication to control the pain and inflammation. He’ll be rechecked to make sure his anemia is responding well.

HHF and Pets of the Homeless contributed to Echo’s treatment, but he’ll need follow-up care, too. If you’d like to help people and animals like Linda and Echo, please consider a donation of any size through the Saving Pets Challenge, taking place now through June 1st.
