June Happy Tails!

Despite 2017 being a tough year for grants and donations, HHF has still handled 44 cases so far.  To read about the rest of those cases, click on the scroll on the home page of our website – harleys-hopefoundation.org – or like our Facebook page.

Berkeley and Liza are two cautionary tales regarding small animals and the damage that can be quickly done to them when they encounter a not-so-friendly larger pet or wildlife.

Berkeley, a min-pin mix, nearly lost his life when savagely attacked by a larger dog.  As you can see, his injuries encircle his abdomen as veterinarians fought to suture him back together.  While he may look a bit like Frankenstein’s dog, he is on the mend after undergoing several major surgeries, funded in part by HHF.

Liza, a indoor cat, made the mistake of sneaking out one night and encountered either a dog or fox.  She suffered a broken jaw and had to undergo surgery to put it back together.  Kitties are definitely safer and live longer as indoor-only cats.
