December’s Director Notes

Here we are wrapping up another year of helping pets and their people stay together.  While 2017 has been a very challenging year in terms of grants and donations, we are grateful for the support that has allowed us to help 92 animals so far this year.

Did you have a case that resonated with you?  For me, it was Murphy, a sweet, young Boxer who was the unfortunate victim of an angry, twisted person.  Murphy was shot in the face while his person, Jane, was out of town.  Many caring people, including Jane’s sister, jumped in and got Murphy the emergency care he needed.  We were honored to help Murphy and Jane and hope the day comes when no innocent animal has to suffer at the hands of a deranged human.

Best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday season and a peaceful 2018.
