Nellie is a sweet 6 month old kitty who suffered a fracture to her left femur. Mom, Aniiyah, is self-employed and covered the initial care and diagnostics, but needed help with the surgery that was done at Cornell University’s Hospital for Animals last week.
Given how young and healthy Nellie is, she came through the surgery just fine and will make a full recovery! Both Aniiyah and Nellie are thrilled she’s back home with her fellow rescued dog and cat siblings.
We got this message from Aniiyah “Nellie’s surgery went REALLY well! They did a bone graft, put 2 screws in each end of her femur, and a plate. She is eating and purring and cuddling! She is in a large dog crate for 4 weeks to be sure that she does not jump around. Much appreciation!!!”
