We should be thankful for the good in our lives year-round, but Thanksgiving gives us the opportunity to voice our gratitude in a public manner, so here goes. I am thankful for my healthy family, two grown sons who still come home to visit, and my husband, David, who celebrated 40 years with the U.S. Olympic Training Center this past Spring. I’m thankful that, while I have numerous old kitties with various health issues, I am in a position to provide care and comfort to them. I’m thankful most of my siblings and numerous nieces and nephews are alive and well.
I’m thankful that the charity David and I founded is now in its ninth year and still making a difference in the lives of pet parents and the animals they love. I’m thankful to the individuals, corporations, small businesses, and foundations that support the work HHF does. I’m thankful for campaigns like Indy Give and Colorado Gives Day that help us raise more funds than we could ever do on our own. I’m thankful to the volunteers who give of their time and energy to help us run this small, but impactful charity. And, I’m thankful to all of you for taking the time to learn about our mission and to help spread the word. What are you thankful for?
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Harley’s Hope Foundation!
