November 2018 Indy Give!

By the time this newsletter is distributed, the 2019 Indy Give! Campaign will have launched. This is HHF’s fifth year participating in the campaign and we are so very grateful to Campaign staff, our matching grant donors listed below, and everyone who donates to us during the campaign itself. We are hoping to break that $20,000 wall this year, but we cannot get there without the support of animal lovers in the community.

Why give to HHF? Because homeless animals come from somewhere and we know from research that roughly a million a year are coming from homes where they are loved, but their people are struggling to provide the animals or themselves with adequate care. Yes, we know that El Paso County is home to numerous rescues and shelters, but often the animals that are given up are older, with health or behavioral issues that may preclude them from finding a new home. Why not help instead to keep them where they are?

Please dig down deep this holiday season and imagine how you would feel if placed in a position where euthanizing or re-homing your beloved pet were the only options open to you. You would want a charity like HHF to be available to help, but it only happens with the public’s support – that’s why 501c3 nonprofit organizations are referred to as public charities. Donations may be made at https://indygive.com/nonprofit/harleys-hope-foundation/.
