Happy Tails!

Did you know that urinary blockages in male cats can be life-threatening? The Coats family found that out when their 3 year old kitty, Mickey, became ill. Mom, Sophia, works, but with two girls to support on one income, and after getting Mickey to two veterinary clinics for estimates, couldn’t afford the hospitalization.

The family does have a regular veterinarian, but they were told that vet doesn’t do the procedure Mickey required, and ended up with our friends at Bijou Animal Hospital. Mickey was hospitalized, but responded to treatment and is doing well.

This particular case meant a lot as we know someone who works with Sophia and wrote on Facebook, “I love this! Sophia is one of the most beautiful, loving, caring, caregivers I have come across in over 10 years of working in health care. Thank you so much for taking care of her and her baby!”

We want to thank Bijou Animal Hospital staff for getting Mickey into treatment right away, and to our friends @Ginger’s Legacy for tag-teaming with HHF on yet another life-saving endeavor.
