Happy Tails!

2020 will surely go down in history as being one of the roughest in many people’s lives.  Loss of life, loss of employment, and financial ruin for so many.  Among the many people we’ve helped who have been directly affected by this pandemic, Camille, a local healthcare worker, exemplifies those challenges.  She contracted the flu at the beginning of the year, returned to work and then came down with the Coronoavirus! Just as Camille was getting healthy and was close to returning to work, her dog, Princess, was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on her left, back foot. Having been out of work for so many weeks, Camille couldn’t afford the surgery.  Fortunately, she was referred to HHF by her doctor at Yorkshire Veterinary Hospital and we just couldn’t let one more bad thing happen to this family. Princess underwent surgery in late April to amputate the affected toe and is now fully healed. Wishing only positive thoughts for both Camille and Princess!
