We usually share a recent case in this spot, but want to share an update on a dog who received help back in 2018 instead.  We feel this particular update, shared by ZuZu’s mom, Vickie, nicely illustrates just how much our furry friends impact our lives and well-being.

“ZuZu will be turning four years old next month! I lost my dad in August. After he fell ill with cancer, ZuZu stayed close to him and gave him great comfort. Dad would have been 101 years old. Mom will be 99. They shared the same birthday, October 23. This will be her first birthday celebration without Dad in 70 years! Mom adores ZuZu and when nothing or nobody can cheer her up, ZuZu does! Her whole face lights up when she sees ‘her ZuZu.'”

Pets can accomplish amazing things simply by being themselves. In this case, ZuZu is bringing joy to a senior’s life during a lonely time. We believe ZuZu and her “grandma” share a love that is truly unconditional.
