Giving Hope By Giving Back

Why give to Harley’s Hope? Because we believe that adoption is just the first step in the journey—a journey that should last a lifetime. We, like every other animal lover, enjoy reading and hearing about adorable animals finding their forever homes, but did you know that 1 in 10 pet adoptions fail within the first few months? That’s hard enough, but what about pets who’ve been in their adoptive home for years and are now in danger of losing their homes due to financial struggles?

Here’s what your donations help HHF accomplish:

  • Financial assistance with life-saving and life-altering veterinary care
  • Shelter—either foster care or boarding—for pets whose people have been temporarily incapacitated due to hospitalization
  • Pet food and supplies delivered to the homes of the elderly and those who are physically disabled
  • Pet food and supplies distributed at monthly drive-through pet food pantries
  • Pet deposits for seniors having to move into assisted living facilities
  • Redistribution of donated, unexpired prescription pet food, pet medications, and medical equipment to low-income pet parents with animals in need
  • Transport of companion and service animals to veterinary appointments

No other charity in the State of Colorado offers this many services to keep pets and people together. But we can’t do it without your support, so here some ways you can help us keep pets and people together:

  • Sign up to be a monthly donor. Options begin at just $10 a month, but help us plan ahead by knowing what’s coming in.
  • Donate via end-of-year campaigns like Indy Give! and Colorado Gives Day.
  • Connect your King Soopers or City Market Rewards Card to HHF. It all adds up!
  • When buying through Amazon, please use Amazon Smile and choose HHF as a charity of choice.
  • Volunteer to host a presentation at your home for pet-loving friends, your place of business, or any type of professional club to which you belong. You open the door—we’ll do the talking.
  • Ask a business you frequent to place a collection box on their counter or to consider a round-up option to paying customers. We’ll provide the receptacles.
  • Host a pet coat/sweater/toy drive so we may distribute these during our cold-month pet food pantries.
  • Host a pet food drive for HHF. We are always in need of canned dog and cat food, specialty foods for small breeds and pets other than dogs and cats, and we always need cat litter!
  • Share our Facebook posts and e-newsletter with your animal loving friends.
  • Volunteer your time. We are looking for event volunteers, an Emergency Pet Food Coordinator, a Volunteer Coordinator, a Social Media Manager, and a few dedicated board members with experience in nonprofit law, senior advocacy, and finance.
