Happy Spring! As I’m writing this, the news is calling for more snow this week, but I’m hoping for April Showers instead. Nothing like a good rainstorm to clear the senses and get the grass and flowers going.
This is the time of year many of us are preparing to get our gardens planted, but please remember that certain fertilizers can be toxic to our companion animals and to the wildlife. You can find more information regarding common hazards on the Pet Care and Safety page of our website here: https://www.harleys-hopefoundation.org/pet-resources/pet-safety/
Spring is also kick-off time for community events. Our volunteers work hard to either man our booth at other groups’ events or to help plan and execute our own events. Either way, we appreciate you showing up to support HHF or, if you can’t attend, help share postings and information with your animal-loving friends and family. First up? Bleating Hearts Night at the Goat Patch Brewing Company in Colorado Springs on April 25th. Come on down to raise a glass in support of Harley’s Hope and Keeping Pets and People Together!
