Pet Services Coordinator — the volunteer in this position is the first point of contact for people seeking help for their pets. Tasks include reviewing applications, interacting with potential clients and service providers, and entering client information into our Salesforce database. Must have good communication skills (email and phone) be able to work independently and as part of a team. Time commitment will vary. This would be a good position with someone and who is retired, or who works from home. Knowledge of veterinary terminology is helpful, but not required.
Social Media Manager — the volunteer in this position coordinates HHF’s social media postings, creates original content, including videos, and helps increase our visibility and presence on digital platforms. Previous experience definitely helpful. Time commitment will vary and will increase during fundraising campaigns and before major fundraising events.
Crisis Foster Homes — volunteers who serve as potential foster homes will provide safe haven to animals whose people are hospitalized. Since we never know when these requests will or won’t come in, fosters may not be terribly active, then be called upon to step in at a moment’s notice to help. Home inspection is required per PACFA license. Previous experience working with animals, and introducing new animals to existing pets in the home is recommended. HHF will provide supplies including crates, litter boxes, pet food, and other supplies, as well as any necessary veterinary care while in our custody.
Board Members — we are a small charity with a big mission and we need dedicated board members to help govern, provide financial oversight, set policy, and serve as our ambassadors around the state. Commitment to the mission is essential. Attendance at monthly, virtual meetings is required. Time commitment will vary according to position on the board.
