Did you know that Harley’s Hope originally began as a way to help older pet parents? We still believe strongly that pets play a special role in the lives of folks in their third act. We had occasion to help one such person recently, when Rocky Mountain PACE (Rocky Mountain Health Care Services ) reached out for help for one of their clients.

Donna needed to move into assisted living and was fortunate to find one that accepted pets. Unfortunately, a pet deposit and a small, monthly pet fee were required—more than Donna could swing. HHF was able to step in to help keep Mellow, a 15-year-old kitty, safe and sound with her person, Donna, by covering the deposit and 10 month’s worth of fees.

Mellow and Donna moved into their new home last month, and we wish these two special ladies more quality time with one another! And, we thank our wonderful donors who make it possible for us to step in and help out in many different ways!
