This is Max, a 3-year-old seizure-alert service dog who is showing you his ouchy. Max, who lives with Justin, managed to damage a nail on his paw which resulted in bleeding and him licking the spot constantly because it hurt so much. Fortunately, our friends at VCA Northwest Animal Hospital got Justin in the same day he called, removed the nail, and treated Max for pain and infection. Sadly, Justin is in hospice care but is enjoying his time with Max, who will go to live with and care for Justin’s nephew when the time comes.
