Tea for Two?

Join us on Sunday, October 5th, at the Black Forest Community Center for our LiteraTea Party to benefit Harley’s Hope.

This is not your grandmother’s afternoon tea! Each table will be named after a famous author and decorated according to the author’s most famous works. When you buy your ticket, choose your table and, if so inclined, come dressed as your favorite character and compete in the costume contest. Or, simply come as yourself — just come!

Our featured authors and their featured works are: Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, Hound of the Baskervilles, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven, J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings, and Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

We’ll also be inviting guests to participate in literary trivia for prizes, and will feature a small silent auction, as well as a boutique offering baked goods and jams and jellies featured in the tea.

Tickets go on sale September 1st for just $35 and can be purchased on the HHF Facebook event page as well as on our website. Pinkies up!.
