October is not just for Halloween. This month celebrates numerous animal observances, including National Veterinary Technician Week, which runs from October 12 through the 18th. 

I’d like to give a big shout out to all of the amazing veterinary technicians and the not-so-glamorous work they do taking pet temperatures, cleaning up exploding abscesses, weighing cantankerous cats and dodgy dogs, and providing critical support to their veterinarians, and comfort to anxious pet parents.
