Board Spotlight: Jesse (JD) Donaldson

The Harley’s Hope Foundation Board of Directors is responsible for providing oversight and governing the organization. We were fortunate to have several new board members join in the fall of 2025 and would like to take the opportunity to introduce them! In this issue, please meet our new Board Vice President Jesse (JD) Donaldson.

What first inspired you to get involved with Harley’s Hope Foundation?

I learned about Harley’s Hope through my profession which is veterinary receptionist at Bijou Animal hospital since 2019. I’ve always been passionate about helping people and animals, so when Cynthia approached me about an opening on the board it was a no-brainer.

What have you learned in your first months on the board?

I have never worked with a non-profit at this level and there are so many moving parts and so much to learn.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I was born in Michigan, but consider myself a Colorado native since I’ve been here since before I could crawl. I’m married to my high school sweetheart who is my entire world (besides our fur babies).

Tell us about your pets!

I have 2 dogs: Bandit is an auto-immune, epileptic German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix, and Beanie Baby is a one-eyed, blind, diabetic mini Aussie. I also have 5 cats: Una, Johnny, Potato, Radar (Noodle), and Mystique.
