Thank you to all of the amazing people who donated to HHF during December via Colorado Gives Day, the Indy Give! Campaign, or individual year-end gifts. You all helped us end a difficult year in a good place and ready to tackle 2018. We’ll list individual donors names in the donor section, but please all know how much we appreciate your support.
During 2017, HHF offered services to 96 animals and the people who love them. Yes, that number is much lower than in recent years, mainly due to our not hosting the Because We Care Pet Fair in 2017. The board decided that we could potentially reach more animals in need by dividing that one large fair into two or three small fairs. Stay tuned for information on our next clinic coming up in the second quarter.
Our goals this year include creating an educational campaign regarding what safety net agencies do and why our services are important to the homeless animal crisis. We’ll continue to work on expanding our foster network, which is desperately needed as our community continues to face an affordable housing shortage. And, as we do every year, review and tweak programs and policies as needed to provide the most effective and efficient services we can.
Best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2018 and thank you for believing in our mission.
